Job Description
  • Design and develop single-line diagrams and other technical drawings for electrical distribution systems.
  • Supervise the preparation of load calculations, product sizing studies, breaker coordination, and voltage drop analyses.
  • Ensure that all electrical designs and installations comply with the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) and other applicable standards.
  • Coordinate with other engineers and consultants to integrate electrical requirements with other project disciplines.
  • Manage and support a team of engineers and technicians in achieving the electrical design objectives of the project.
  • Provide technical guidance and innovative solutions to address technical challenges related to electrical systems.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in the design and management of electrical engineering projects, preferably in industrial or infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the design of electrical distribution systems, including the ability to perform load calculations, voltage drop analyses, and breaker coordination studies.
  • Thorough knowledge of electrical standards and codes, including the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC), National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) for railway signal installations.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
