Position Overview:

Reporting to the General Manager, the Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Mechanic will be responsible for the installation, diagnosis, and repair of various HVAC/R equipment. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of systems and equipment, making it an exciting and challenging position for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, service, and repair RACK refrigeration systems in grocery stores, including both new and legacy systems from brands such as Hill/Phoenix, Hussmann, and Emerson.
  • Work on RTU (Rooftop Units), MUA (Make-Up Air Units), and various ventilation systems from Carrier, Lennox, CaptiveAire, and others, for a range of applications.
  • Service commercial refrigeration equipment, including self-contained units, ice machines, deli, and bakery equipment.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on boilers with in-slab heat systems and radiant heating, commonly used in car washes.
  • Handle installation and maintenance of various restaurant and convenience store equipment.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring client satisfaction with every interaction.

Qualifications:

  • Red Seal Journeyman Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic certification, 4th Level Apprentice, or Licensed A or B Gas Fitter.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Previous experience with grocery store refrigeration equipment is an asset.
  • A willingness to learn and take initiative on new HVAC/R systems and technologies.
