Maintenance Manager

Our client is a manufacturing company and industry leader in the healthcare sector in Regina, Saskatchewan, and they are looking for a driven Maintenance Manager. The Maintenance Manager will oversee the maintenance department, ensuring that all machinery and equipment operate efficiently to support production. This role is essential for maintaining high standards of quality and safety within the manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial maintenance, leadership experience, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the maintenance team, ensuring timely and effective maintenance of all equipment and machinery.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure optimal operation and minimal downtime.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and operational issues.
  • Ensure all maintenance work is performed in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
  • Manage maintenance budgets, including the procurement of parts and equipment.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement.
  • Train and mentor maintenance staff, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support production needs and company goals.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
  • Other related duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Education or degree in engineering, industrial maintenance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Inter-Provincial Red Seal certification or Journeyman Certificate in a relevant trade is an asset.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automated systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Attention to detail and high-quality standards.
  • Positive attitude and self-starter.
