Job Overview

Fluor Driver Inc. is currently seeking a Maintenance Planner for a facilities maintenance project in Camrose, AB. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for supporting the project in documentation and walkdowns for Maintenance and outage activities. This role involves both intervention at the individual task level as well as overall compilation of all jobs into an integrated execution schedule. As an integral member of Fluor Driver Inc., the ideal candidate will also be responsible for integrating the company's Health and Safety procedures and controls into everyday tasks.

Performance Objectives

  • Assume complete accountability for the creation of Planned Jobs as directed by the client Planner and Maintenance and Reliability Manager.
  • Ensures the expectation of high-quality work plans.
  • Effectively acts as the primary interface between the planning and execution team.
  • Actively participates in all Post MTCE critique and reporting efforts.
  • Develop Planned Job Scope for outages.

Technical Objectives

  • Participates in the development of planning goals and objectives (including, but not limited to):
    • Job Walk Downs
    • Develop complete work scope plans in SAP.
    • Facilitates complete utilization of scheduling tool/software. This includes using planning and scheduling best practices.
    • Develops and implements a schedule review plan that delivers an effective execution schedule that optimizes plant reliability and outage costs while adhering to site standards.
    • Prior to outage, identifies areas of vulnerability, where scheduling contingency planning should be proactively performed.
    • Documentation for complete job plans.
    • Activity identification and estimation on jobs scopes
    • Resource requirements
    • Quality Control
  • Ensure work scope is fully defined, that there is enough information to allow for accurate Planning and to facilitate further work scope definition as appropriate.
  • Enforce the table of contents for inclusion of documents in SAP.
  • Assure direct work hour estimates and task duration bases are justifiable by reviewing individual job plans as appropriate.
  • Identify specialty equipment/tools/lifting requirements and long lead delivery items requiring early procurement.
  • Develop complete job plans.

Technical Skills

  • Strong ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the project including craft, project management, corporate management, client representatives, and outside regulatory authorities.
  • Must excel at co-ordination, organization, written and verbal communication skills, with strict emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent understanding of all planning and schedule related concepts and ability to effectively work with Planning and Execution Teams.
  • Knowledge and working experience with:
    • SAP
    • Microsoft Office Programs

Education

  • Technical Trade Certificate preferred.
  • 5+ years' experience as a Planner within the maintenance industry with a focus in plant outages.
