Job Summary:
The VP of Marketing will coordinate and develop marketing policies, programs, and campaigns.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Recruit, interview, hire and train supervisory and management staff in the department.
- Oversee the daily workflow of the department.
- Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Handle discipline and termination of employees and in accordance with company policy.
- Gather and analyze information to identify new markets and customers, demand for products and services, and efficacy of existing marketing campaigns and strategies.
- Collaborate, participate in, and coordinate promotional activities or trade shows.
- Negotiate contracts for services needed to execute a marketing strategy.
- Conduct pricing research and analysis to ensure competitive product and service pricing.
- Direct and implement the organization's advertising and promotional activities.
- Analyze target market information to identify and recommend effective marketing approaches.
- Identify new market segments that will benefit from company products.
- Prepare effective advertising campaigns based on market research.
- Maintain knowledge of emerging products and services.
- Collaborate with senior executives to develop growth plans for the organization.
- Forecast, draft, implement and oversee the department operating budget.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing or related field required; Masters degree preferred.
- At least ten years of experience in a related field.
- At least five years of experience in B2B Marketing
- Ability to create, implement, and monitor budgets.
- Thorough understanding of principles and methods used to promote, display, and sell products and services.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
