Deliverable:

1. Conduct Current State Assessments:

(a) Performs comprehensive analysis, including technical, process, skills and financial assessments, of ITS products and services in consultation with relevant stakeholders;

(b) Assess product/service maturity;

(c) Identifies capability gaps relative to client requirements and industry best practices;

(d) Documents all findings in a formal report.

2. Perform Strategic Options Analysis:

(a) Leads workshops with stakeholders to define service vision and identify expected business benefits and outcomes;

(b) Consults with industry and perform jurisdictional scans of peer organizations to inform options selection;

(c) Develops final list of potential options guided by industry best practice and informed through stakeholder and industry consultations;

(d) Performs cost/benefit analysis for each option considered;

(e) Documents all findings in a formal report.

3. Define Strategic Target State:

(a) Leads target state definition workshops in collaboration with service/product leads and relevant stakeholders;

(b) Works with users and stakeholders to develop business requirements and metrics;

(c) Documents high-level target state architecture;

(d) Refines cost analysis for the new target state;

(e) Develops gap analysis report for technology, processes and people

(f) Develops high-level roadmap/implementation plan to achieve target state;

(g) Documents all findings in a formal report.

4. Lead Business Case Development:

(a) Leads the development of ITS Business Cases for ITS strategies in collaboration with ITS corporate procurement, relevant stakeholders, and in compliance with OPS governance and policies.

  • Development and standardized application of best-practice methodologies and frameworks;

Requirements

Experience and Skill Set Requirements:

Must Haves:

  • 5+ years of experience (10 years preferred) in IT consulting

Experience with complex IT hosting environments:

Technical Proficiency:

  • Deep understanding of modern technologies, frameworks and tools.

Problem Solving:

  • Ability to identify, analyze, and creatively solve complex business issues relating to the delivery of hosting services.

Leading strategic initiatives:

  • Experience in overseeing projects/initiatives from conception to completion, ensuring that all strategic requirements are met.

Knowledge of modern technologies and practices:

Technical Knowledge:

  • Extensive knowledge of both cloud platforms and on-premises hosting solutions.

Modern Technologies:

  • Skills in adapting/integrating modern technologies with evolving service/product strategies.

Modern Practices:

  • Knowledge of best practices including agile and lean development.

  • Experience in the development and application of service/product strategy methodologies.
