About the Opportunity

The Senior Manager, Annual Campaign Operations is an integral member of the Annual Campaign Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing, managing, and ensuring success across the Annual Campaign and the engine that keeps it running. They will focus on the strategic management and effective operation of all Annual Campaign operations.

Reports to: Vice President, Philanthropy and Deputy Campaign Director

Key Responsibilities:

  • Budgets
    • Work alongside the VP, Philanthropy and Deputy Campaign Director on all budget matters
    • Work with Annual Campaign team on event budgeting
  • Annual Planning
    • Develop an Annual Campaign critical path
    • Working closely with the Annual Campaign Marketing and events team to ensure that Campaign has a 3 year long plan for events
    • Oversight of annual campaign calendar
    • Work closely with marketing team member responsible for the overall events calendar to ensure that all AC events are recorded properly and changes are made when necessary. Meet bi-weekly with this marking team member and EAs for CEO and CDO to ensure all calendars are up to date.
    • Work with VP to ensure goals for divisions are set and process is in place able to be tracked
  • Campaign Executive
    • Act as main point of contact for Annual Campaign Chairs
    • In Collaboration with VP, Philanthropy and Deputy Campaign Director all meeting agendas for Annual Campaign Chairs weekly meetings and Annual Campaign executive cabinet
    • Overall accountability on campaign executive (including filling roles, etc.)
    • Take detailed notes at all meetings and follow up with appropriate action items.
  • Salesforce
    • Manage requests and needs from the Annual Campaign team and liaise with the Salesforce/digital team (in partnership with the Senior Manager, Community Campaign Operations)
  • Campaign Operations
    • Lead and manage all operations with respect to the campaign master plan (week by week)
    • Manage the back end of campaign to ensure all opportunities are created, dashboards exist, pledge cards are created, etc. (in partnership with the Senior Manager, Community Campaign Operations, Senior Director, Women's Philanthropy and Director, Major Gifts)
    • Ensure canvassing structure is in place across all levels of the Annual Campaign and that canvassing reports go out weekly (in partnership with the Senior Manager, Community Campaign Operations, Senior Director, Women's Philanthropy and Director, Major Gifts)
    • Work closely with marketing to ensure all materials are produced (not content, but articulating requirements of what documents are needed) – working closely with Director, Marketing for Annual Campaign.
    • Liaise with Donor Services team to ensure that donor coordination, payment processes etc. are coordinated (working closely with Director, Donor Services)
  • Oversight of big events/project management:
    • Campaign Launch
    • Liaise with Walk team to keep VP updated on Walk overall and Walk Fundraising efforts
    • Other major projects as necessary
  • Reporting
    • Compile regular reports on campaign performance and results, as needed
  • Internal meetings:
    • Manage agendas for campaign professional team meetings

Qualifications

  • You are hyper organized.
  • You have an outgoing nature.
  • You're a self-starter and are driven by results.
  • You have at least three years of operations experience (or comparable experience).
  • You establish and maintain good working relationships throughout the organization and with outside stakeholders.
  • You have excellent writing and speaking skills and use them to compel individuals to action.
  • You are comfortable spending a lot of time in the weeds. You understand the importance for organization and know volunteers expect you to be prepared, detail-oriented and to follow through on promises.
  • You bring people in line with a vision and motivate them to act.
  • You have a strong customer service-oriented approach complemented by excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • You can discuss a broad range of information and articulate it with passion and integrity.
  • You have excellent knowledge of the Toronto Jewish community.
  • You are diplomatic, a great listener and a strategic thinker.
  • You don't require micro-managing and are able to make decisions independently.

*This is a full-time permanent position, Union level H. At UJA we support a flexible work schedule and all of our employees engage in hybrid work.
