Salary: $36-$40 per hour

Tritech Group Ltd. is looking for a permanent, full-time Crane Truck Operator and Driver to join our Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley region teams. This is a great role for someone who likes detailed work, is diligent and deliberate, and values safety above all else. The ideal candidate is also a team player and willing to roll up their sleeves and help the shop and field crews when not operating equipment or driving.

Responsibilities:

At Tritech, we aim to provide opportunities that are challenging, fast-paced, that effectively utilize the skills of our team members, and provides variety in day-to-day tasks.

The job responsibilities for this role includes:

  • Approximately, and on average, 50% of working time will be spent:
    • Driving company vehicles such as dump trucks, flat decks, and trailers
    • Driving and operating company crane trucks and cranes
    • Communicating with ground crews using hand signals, voice and radio.
  • The remaining 50% of working time will be spent:
    • Loading and unloading trucks at the shop and in the field
    • Assisting shop and field crews with a variety of labour activities when not operating
    • Documenting daily logs for all inspections and maintenance work done on equipment and vehicles.
    • Performing pre-operational inspections, hazard assessments, and safety checks.
    • Cleaning & lubricating equipment.
    • Refilling equipment tanks.
    • Reading and interpreting blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.

Requirements

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent
  • Class 3 B.C. driver's license with an air brakes endorsement
  • Level A crane certification for knuckle boom and/or stiff boom mobile cranes
  • Reliable transportation and a clean driver's abstract
  • Experience operating and driving the following vehicles/equipment:
    • Flat deck trucks and trailers
    • Dump trucks
    • Mobile crane trucks
    • Pickups/duallys
    • Forklift
  • Knowledge of and experience with safe hoisting/rigging procedures
  • Must be willing and able to complete a variety of labor duties when not operating cranes, vehicles, or other equipment
  • Post-secondary schooling or training for equipment and/or crane operation is an asset
  • Class 1 B.C. driver's license is an asset
  • Experience operating skid steer, loader, and telehandler is an asset
  • Experience working with hand tools and machinery is an asset
  • Experience loading/unloading a variety of construction equipment onto trailers is an asset
