Your mission:

As a Manufacturing Production Supervisor of our Final and Shipping teams within the Operations department, you will play a vital role in upholding our commitment to excellence.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage Final Assembly and Shipping departments, inventory forecasting and maintenance of eSchedule
  • Assist with the implementation of engineering change orders (ECO) and revision changes in Final Assembly and throughout Operations.
  • Attend daily Supervisor SIM meeting and communicate any issues or barriers from Final Assembly
  • Chair daily SIM meetings for Final Assembly
  • Direct supervision and scheduling responsibility for production staff
  • Ensure flow of product through Final Assembly and Shipping processes by monitoring the issuing of product to assemblers and making sure orders are prioritized properly to prevent aging
  • Selection, hiring and completing annual performance reviews for production staff.
  • Responsibility of ensuring training is up to date for Final Assembly staff, areas including production assembly processes and quality standards requirements
  • Develop and implement process improvements as needed.
  • Provide backup support/coverage for other Production Supervisors as needed
  • Provide feedback to Engineering and collaborate on process or design solutions for manufacture-ability issues
  • Coordinate assembly manuals' updates, ensuring quality control procedure documents are current.
  • Coordinate the creation and maintenance of quality control procedures and reporting.
  • Implementation of Lean principles and methodologies where applicable
  • Support continuous improvement efforts across production.
  • Other duties as assigned.

This role might be right for you if you have:

  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing high-performing teams, fostering a collaborative and supportive approach
  • 5 years of working experience in an electronic manufacturing environment is strongly preferred
  • College diploma or university degree would be considered an asset
  • Expertise in manufacturing process development and quality analysis
  • Understanding of commonly used quality standards and tools
  • Experience and knowledge regarding lean tools and methodology within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to drive improvements to process performance and efficiency
  • Willingness to be a hands-on leader who will work alongside the production team as needed
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across different teams in Engineering and Manufacturing
  • Agility and adaptability within a fast-paced production environment
  • Experience with soldering and an understanding of industry soldering quality standards would be considered an asset
  • High level of proficiency with computers, specifically MS Office
  • A positive and flexible attitude with a strong ability to maintain cooperative working relationships
