Resource ProfileWe are seeking an experienced Project Manager with Cloud expertise to join the project management team responsible for managing a transformation initiative within our organization. The PM will be responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from planning and initiation through to execution and closeout, ensuring successful delivery of high-quality solutions on time and within budget. The successful candidate will have a strong background in project management with experience managing full–cycle Cloud implementations. The successful candidate will have excellent leadership and communication skills interacting with individual team members, large cross-functional groups, and senior management.
Resource Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple projects from initiation to closure, ensuring successful project delivery within budget, timeline, and scope.
- Develop project plans, including project scope, goals, timelines, deliverables, and resources required.
- Manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, and ensure timely escalation of critical issues to senior management.
- Coordinate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of project objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
- Identify and manage project resources, including team members and contractors to ensure timely and high-quality project deliverables.
- Facilitate project meetings and communication, including project status reporting, project reviews, and stakeholder updates.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including project charters, integrated project plans, schedules, budgets, status reports, RAID logs, along with other project and EPMO gating artifacts
- Ensure compliance with project management methodologies and best practices, including Scaled Agile, Agile, and Waterfall approaches.
- Manage project budgets, including tracking expenses, forecasting costs, and monitoring financial performance against budget.
- Coach and mentor junior project team members and support their professional growth and development.
Requirements
Knowledge & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management for ERP initiatives, with a recent focus on Cloud projects.
- Minimum At least of 2 Cloud projects.
- Proven record of accomplishment of delivering successful projects on time, within budget, and meeting customer expectations.
- Strong experience in project management methodologies, including Scaled Agile, Agile, and Waterfall.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members, internal/external business stakeholders, IT stakeholders, and senior management.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize competing demands effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
- Project management certifications, such as SAFe, CSM (Certified Scrum Master), and/or PMP (Project Management Professional) are highly desirable.
- Experience leading projects with public sector organizations in Canada. This could include municipal, provincial, or federal governments as well as crown agencies.
Nice to have:
- Knowledge and experience managing projects in the insurance/actuarial industry.
Skill
- 7+ years of experience in Project Management on large scale programs similar in size and complexity.
- 4+ years of experience in the development, implementation and advice of project management processes, guidelines, standards, techniques and best practices.
- 2+ years of experience in public sector environment
- 5+ year of experience in practices and processes related to the delivery of both waterfall and agile methodologies.
- Oral communication skills to work effectively with and discuss development approaches to clients/senior management and external stakeholders; written communications skills to document and communicate development specifications.
