You'll Do:

  • Estimate material, manpower, tool, and equipment needs for work orders.
  • Develop and revise Job Plans for maintenance tasks.
  • Lead daily and weekly Planning and Scheduling Work Team meetings.
  • Conduct weekly Maintenance Meetings with the operations group.
  • Manage maintenance backlog, prioritize tasks, and report KPIs for improvement.
  • Work with Predictive Maintenance Technicians to incorporate potential issues into the schedule.
  • Coordinate contract services for routine and shutdown work.
  • Schedule jobs weekly, considering resource availability.
  • Distribute the weekly schedule along with work packages to the maintenance supervisor.
  • Communicate daily with the Maintenance Supervisor on issues and repetitive problems.
  • Work with Procurement for timely part orders and staging.
  • Manage in-house repairs, including status, backlog, and returns to stock.
  • Review daily downtime reports and track mill problem areas.
  • Participate in RCFA team activities to address failures.
  • Close out work orders and create follow-up orders.
  • Input weekly KPIs into Timber.
  • Update Equipment, files, and Bills of Materials as needed.
  • Contribute to special projects and perform assigned duties.

You have:

  • A valid trade certificate, A bachelor's degree in applied science/Engineering or relevant experience.
  • Preferred 3 to 5 years of experience in a sawmill or heavy industrial setting.
  • Strong leadership, planning, budgeting, and problem-solving skills. Consistently shows a strong commitment to safety, actively promoting its importance.
  • Knowledge of computer software and applications, with preference given to candidates with Maximo and MS Project experience.
  • Great organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team-building skills.
  • A desire to progress, learn, grow, and succeed.

Compensation Package:

  • The salary range for this position may vary depending on experience, education, and location.
