Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Manager, Impact & Outcomes, to join our team at Inn from the Cold. The Manager, Impact & Outcomes will lead the Impact & Evaluation team, driving data collection, analysis, and program evaluation to enhance organizational effectiveness and storytelling. This role involves collaborating with leaders to identify new opportunities, managing projects, and fostering innovation and continuous improvement. The manager will also conduct research and advocacy to address community issues and build strong stakeholder relationships. A strategic and data-driven mindset, exceptional communication skills, and a commitment to the organization's mission are essential for success in this role.

What You'll Do

  • Impact & Evaluation Leadership: Lead the Impact & Evaluation team in data collection, analysis, reporting, and evaluation efforts, promoting a data-driven culture and ensuring evidence-based decision-making.
  • Data Governance Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive data governance and integration strategies, ensuring effective program evaluation and alignment with funder requirements and organizational goals.
  • Program Evaluation Frameworks: Oversee the development and annual review of program evaluation frameworks, Theory of Change, program logic models, and KPIs to ensure quality assurance and effective program evaluation.
  • New Opportunities & Initiatives: Collaborate with organizational leaders to identify, evaluate, and execute new opportunities and initiatives that align with the organization's mission and vision, including project management for new program initiatives in collaboration with the Senior Grant Specialist.
  • Continuous Improvement: Establish and monitor KPIs, drive continuous improvement based on data-driven insights, and implement quality improvement measures to enhance program performance and adapt to evolving family needs.
  • Research & Advocacy: Conduct thorough research and evaluation on homelessness and housing public policy, identify gaps in community services, and participate in research projects to address community issues and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Collaboration: Foster data sharing and collaboration with non-profits, government agencies, and other organizations to enhance the impact of collective efforts and address monitoring and evaluation challenges.
  • Team Leadership: Provide visionary leadership and mentorship to team members, foster a collaborative and innovative environment, support professional development, and manage external consultants as required.

What You Bring to Our Mission

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in social or health sciences, education, business, public administration, or similar. A master's degree is preferred.
  • Competency in Program Evaluation Standards of the Canadian Evaluation Society; understanding of systems thinking and change management.
  • Minimum of 5 years in social services, with a focus on strategy, impact, program design, and evaluation.
  • Expertise in quantitative and qualitative research, with proficiency in data management and analysis software like Microsoft Dynamics, PowerBI, and HMIS.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada 94 Calls to Action. OCAP certification is an asset.
  • Ability to assess program effectiveness, seek new opportunities, and drive outcomes aligned with the organization's mission.
  • Strong analytical skills with a data-driven mindset to interpret data and recommend improvements for program outcomes.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including grant writing, speaking, editing, and proofreading.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, encouraging new technologies and creative solutions for data analysis and resource optimization.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build consensus among diverse stakeholders, including internal teams, external partners, and funders.
  • Experience in leading and coordinating projects, ensuring timely and effective implementation of action plans.
