Team Horizon is looking for a dedicated Post Substantial Labourer to support our landscape construction projects. This full-time, year-round, permanent role offers growth opportunities within our dynamic company. This is a great opportunity for seasonal landscape maintenance employees to apply their knowledge and work year round. This role involves maintaining commercial, strata, and municipal sites, as well as assisting the crew in rectifying hardscape deficiencies.

Responsibilities:

• Use various tools and equipment safely (power tools, mobile equipment, mowers)
• Maintain tools and equipment
• Participate in safety checks and reports
• Provide excellent customer service
• Assist with loading/unloading materials and plant health assessments
• Engage in ongoing training and education

Qualifications:

Education:

• Post-secondary trades education and Red Seal (in progress/completed) in Landscaping/Horticulture are assets

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years in the industry

Skills:

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Organized, detail-oriented, and high customer service standards
• Strong time management and flexibility
• Ability to work well in a team

Physical Requirements:

• Able to lift over 50 lbs, and endure bending, crouching, and standing/walking for long periods

Work Environment:

• Outdoor work in varied weather conditions

Compensation:

• $21-24/hour based on experience
• Vacation pay with each paycheck
• 5 paid sick days after 90 days
