The Wood Framing Lead Carpenter is responsible for constructing the framework of residential and commercial buildings. This role involves reading blueprints, measuring and cutting wood, and assembling the structures according to specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.THE ROLE:Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood materialsErect and install frameworks, including walls, floors, and roof systemsEnsure accuracy and compliance with building codes and safety regulationsOperate power tools and hand tools safely and effectivelyInstall windows, doors, and other structures as requiredInspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixturesCollaborate with the Lead Carpenter Supervisor to complete projects on time and to specificationsMaintain a clean and organized worksite, adhering to health and safety guidelinesPerform additional duties as assigned by the SupervisorREQUIREMENTS:Must have previous experience as a Wood Framing Carpenter or similar roleMust be proficient in using carpentry tools and equipment Must have own tool belt, hammer, tape measure and basic toolsMust have CSA Approved Steel Toe Boots, Hard Hat, Reflective VestMust be able to lift up to 50lbs on a frequent basis, bending, pushing, pullingMust be able to work from heightsMust be able to operate Man lift, Telehandler and Articulate Boom Lift.Vocational carpentry training is an assetAbility to interpret and read blueprints, drawings, and specifications is an assetValid driver's license is an assetWHAT WE OFFER:$23 plus 4% vacation pay per hourOccupation Health and Safety TrainingPrompt weekly payroll through direct deposit onlyREFER TALENT.
