The Director will be responsible for non-traditional property and casualty initiatives within Armour Group, serving as the Designated Representative for all provincial licenses for VA Insurance Services Inc. This will involve meeting all regulatory requirements imposed by provincial and territorial regulators.

In this role you will:

  • Work with the claims and actuarial teams to review, evaluate and provide advice to improve existing products and underwriting performance
  • Work with the claims, actuarial, sales and management teams to investigate and develop new products within our existing channels
  • Investigate, assess and if desirable, coordinate and organize the material aspects of entry into new distribution channels, including insurance brokers and direct-to-consumer
  • Maintain individual insurance licensing through RIBO in Ontario and extra provincial licenses in all other provinces and territories and, if necessary, non-resident licenses in the United States
  • Other related duties as assigned by the President from time to time

Your Qualifications include:

  • Seasoned professional with a solid foundation in the insurance industry, holding a Registered Insurance Broker of Ontario (RIBO) license in good standing
  • Professional designation and/or post secondary education in a relevant discipline (insurance, business, finance)
  • Proven ability to forge relationships with key stakeholders and partners
  • Proficiency in strategic planning, business development, and strategic thinking
  • Some knowledge of insurance-backed warranty products would be an asset, but not a qualification requirement

*This role requires the individual to work onsite at our London office
