The Lac La Ronge Indian Band's Woodland Wellness Centre is inviting applications for the following positions based out of the Prevention & Recovery Department in La Ronge, SK:

Prevention & Recovery Supervisor

1 – Permanent Full-Time

The suitable candidate will be able to perform the following duties:

• Carries out the Mental Health and wellness program in accordance with the WWC program objectives, procedures, policies and community needs.
• Participates in community development projects, strengthening family functioning, and assisting in crisis intervention plans and services for communities.
• Provides suicide risk assessments, monitoring care plans, counseling and case management services with respect to Mental Health & wellness issues.
• Provides Grief Recovery and Critical Incident Stress Debriefing counseling and interventions for youth, adult and groups.
• Supervises Prevention & Recovery team members on day to day basis and assisting them as required.
• Participates in program review and submitting budget needs pertaining to staff, facilities, supplies, and equipment.
• Assists P&R Manager in preparation of funding proposals, collection of relevant statistical date to use for program planning such as monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
• Facilitates education support and therapeutic groups on a regular basis.
• Participates in continuing educational sessions, planning of community experience for students, and utilizes a team approach in problem-solving and decision making.
• Maintains client confidentiality and follows safety rules and procedures.
• Maintains liaison with Band administration, community and other related agencies.
• Other work-related duties as assigned by Immediate Supervisor.

The suitable candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in a related field
• Master's Degree in Social Work with a Major in Psychology is preferred.
• Required Professional Registration with a Regulatory Body (SSWA, CSWA)
• 3-5 year's supervisory experience
• 5 years of experience in providing therapeutic counseling and suicide risk assessment
• Proficient in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to counsel children, youth and adults;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Experience working with First Nations communities is an asset;
• Ability to speak/understand Cree is an asset;
• Must have a Valid Class 5 Driver's License and own a reliable vehicle;
• Must provide a satisfactory and recent; Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Check, & SGI Driver's Abstract.
