The Position:

Summit Search Grouphas been retained byK-Hart Industries Ltd. on the recruitment of their next Operations Manager. K-Hart Industries Ltd. designs, manufactures, and globally distributes seeding and harvesting equipment for the conservation-minded agricultural producer. With a strong focus on quality, innovation, and sustainability, they are dedicated to offering farmers equipment that revolutionizes their agricultural practices for a better tomorrow.

On their behalf, we look to recruit an experienced Operations Manager to help develop, lead, and drive operational excellence within their manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and timely production of high-quality welded parts and assemblies while maintaining a safe and collaborative work environment.

K-Hart Industries is looking for a dynamic individual who wants to be involved in the strategic development of a fast-growing company. The successful candidate will be skilled at developing a robust team through mentoring, planning, and creating structure while working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions to meet evolving customer needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct responsibility for all aspects of the manufacturing process, including production planning, scheduling, quality control, inventory management, equipment maintenance, and workforce management.
  • Lead a team of production supervisors, manufacturing engineers, welders, and assembly technicians, to meet production targets and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Develop and implement manufacturing programs and strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies, equipment, and processes to improve manufacturing capability and maintain competitiveness in the market.

Qualifications:

  • Post-Secondary Education in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering or a related field.
  • 7+ years experience in a manufacturing department, managing an equipment and manufacturing team.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of manufacturing processes, quality management systems, and agricultural equipment design and engineering principles.
  • Working knowledge of ERP Systems and manufacturing software. Proficiency in CAD Software and other relevant tools.
