About the Role:
Our client, a leading organization committed to saving and improving lives through reliable access to safe blood, plasma, stem cells, organs, and tissues, is looking for a Full-Time Plasma Centre Manager to join their dynamic Plasma Operations team in Lethbridge, Alberta.
As a Plasma Centre Manager, you will oversee the plasma donation and production process, participate in continuous improvement initiatives, and act as an ambassador to promote collaborative and customer-centric work.
What We Offer:

  • Shift: 5 days a week, including weekends. Shifts may vary between morning, midday, and late evenings.

  • Salary: $87,548 - $111,216 based on experience.

What You'll Do:
  • Manage overall operations, including labor, productivity, quality control, and safety measures.
  • Meet operational cost targets and identify opportunities for cost reduction or process improvement without compromising donor experience.
  • Allocate trained, competent staff and adequate supplies/equipment for planned collection events.
  • Recruit, coach, manage attendance, and handle disciplinary processes in accordance with policies, collective agreements, and provincial legislation.
  • Implement and support an exceptional donor experience program in collaboration with the Business Development Manager.
  • Promote continuous improvement and best practice standards, adhering to quality management system standards.
  • Occasional travel, including overnight stays.
  • Ability to lift to 10 kg (22 lbs).
Who You Are:
  • University degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience in operations, with knowledge of supply chain management.
  • Knowledge of supply chain management.
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma/Continuous Improvement, with the ability to explain it in layman's terms to frontline staff.
  • Experience as a media spokesperson is an asset.
  • Close ties to the community and knowledge of the area are strong assets.
  • Experience in program management and human resource management in a unionized environment is an asset.
