ENKON Information Systems Inc. specializes in creating web-enabled Land Information Management Systems for clients around the world. We are an innovative company with offices in Victoria, B.C and Gaborone, Botswana. We are currently seeking a highly motivated Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our Human Resource Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in recruiting for tech roles, excellent communication skills, and a passion for finding top talent to drive our company's success.t.

The operations team is client focused and provides support to the product development team. You will be on a team responsible for the implementation, quality assurance, and maintenance of the product. We work closely together and support one another to provide the best possible service to our clients.

The position will be at our office in Victoria, BC.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Talent Acquisition:
    • Source, screen, and evaluate candidates for various technical and non-technical positions within the company.
    • Utilize a variety of recruitment methods including job boards, social media, networking, and referrals.
    • Develop and maintain a strong talent pipeline for future hiring needs.
  2. Candidate Management:
    • Conduct initial phone and video interviews to assess candidates' skills, experience, and cultural fit.
    • Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers and interview panels.
    • Manage candidate communications throughout the recruitment process, ensuring a positive candidate experience.
  3. General HR Functions
    • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
    • Support the onboarding process for new hires, including orientation and integration activities.
    • Address employee inquiries regarding HR policies, employee benefits, and other HR-related matters.
    • Support performance management processes, including performance reviews and employee development plans.
    • Assist in organizing employee training programs and professional development activities.
    • Contribute to employee engagement initiatives and company culture enhancement projects.
    • Help manage employee records and ensure they are up-to-date and compliant with relevant regulations.
    • Participate in the resolution of employee relations issues and provide support in conflict resolution.
  4. Collaboration:
    • Work closely with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and provide strategic recruiting support.
    • Partner with HR and management to develop job descriptions and hiring criteria.
    • Provide training and guidance to hiring managers on interview techniques and best practices.
  5. Employer Branding:
    • Promote the company as an employer of choice through various channels and activities.
    • Participate in job fairs, networking events, and other recruitment activities to attract top talent.
    • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the company's presence on social media and other platforms.
  6. Data and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
    • Generate recruitment reports and analytics to track key performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
    • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in recruitment and human resources.
  7. Compliance:
    • Ensure all recruitment activities comply with company policies and legal requirements.
    • Manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in recruitment, preferably within the technology or SaaS industry.
  • Strong understanding of technical roles and the ability to identify qualified candidates.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment software.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • High level of professionalism and integrity.
