REQUIREMENTS

• Provide customized assistance to individuals with special needs in various settings, including the community and their homes.
• Help with everyday activities such as cooking, personal hygiene, and going out in the community.
• Encourage participation in recreational activities to improve social and life skills.
• Offer support in resolving conflicts and solving problems during difficult situations. - Utilize techniques to reduce harm and maintain stability for clients in crisis or engaging in risky behaviors.
• Follow care plans and complete administrative tasks within designated time frames.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Human Services Diploma in various fields such as Child & Youth Work, Social Services, Developmental Services, Personal Support Work, Addictions and Mental Health Work, etc.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working with individuals diagnosed with ASD, mental health issues, or special needs.
• Proficient in writing incident reports, serious occurrences, report taking, and daily logs.
• Possess clinical skills and experience in managing challenging behaviors.
• Able to implement Safety Plans and Client Care Plans.
