Shift Transit Inc. is a leading mobility operations company, overseeing 60,000 mobility assets on a daily basis, including scooters, bikes, carsharing vehicles, and micro transit/paratransit vans. We partner with private, public, and non-profit clients to provide day-to-day fleet management, marketing, and customer service support for a wide array of mobility programs. As the operator of Bike Share Toronto, Shift Transit manages 9,000+ bikes and 700+ stations that cover across the City of Toronto. JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a successful candidate for the Marketing and Events Coordinator position will be highly creative, organized and motivated to join the Marketing team at Shift Transit Inc. The ideal candidate will be tech-savvy to create and design content and have proven customer service skills to promote our brand in public. Additionally, the candidate should be willing to support in the daily operations, align with Operations and Marketing functions and contribute to making a positive impact on our Company culture.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the execution of Bike Share Toronto's brand and programming strategy
  • Ensure all marketing efforts serve to achieve immediate and long-term usage and growth goals, while identifying and executing improvements for processes, content and new user acquisition
  • Build and execute organic social media and content marketing, update website that drives reach, engagement and community growth
  • Coordinate to arrange and attend cooperate events as a vendor promoting our brand
  • Manage in-field acquisition and special events to represent Bike Share Toronto and drive trial
  • Liase with the Operations team to execute in-field requirements
  • Support Bike Share Toronto customer experience and digital integration projects
  • Execute regular program reporting and analytics
  • Assist in leading the seasonal Community Ambassador/Valet team
  • Work collaboratively across other departments, such as Operations and Customer Service
  • Execute special projects as assigned by the Marketing Manager

REQUIREMENTS

  • You are a self-starter who remains highly organized when given competitive deadlines and completes tasks on time.
  • You are a team player in every sense of the word. You love to collaborate both internally and externally.
  • Ability to adapt and think critically.
  • Must possess a valid class G or G2 driver's license with a clean driver's abstract.
  • Tech -savvy and enjoys working with interactive technology. Experience in Website/UX design (WordPress) preferred.
  • Must be willing to work at flexible hours, varied schedule of days, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as needed.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and ability to learn and master new software quickly.
  • Ability to be flexible with work time. Work hours may exceed 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week during special projects. Some weekends and off-hours may be required.
  • Maintain high confidentiality with sensitive data
  • Able to travel throughout the city (transit or company vehicle) up to 50% of the time
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to adjust in a fast-paced environment.
  • Drive forward and identify new verticals in the talent attraction and retention efforts
  • Proven experience working in a fast-paced, high-stress, high-demand environment; previous administrative, Marketing and similar role preferred.
  • A passion for and experience in the mobility and transportation industry will be considered an asset.
