What you will do

  • Use your proactive approach to identify quality-related risks on job sites;
  • Jump right in from the project start-up to assist with the implementation of our quality management system;
  • Collaborate and use your expertise to determine personnel requirements and that quality program application tools are in place to ensure our client's requirements and corporate objectives are top of mind;
  • Share your knowledge and be a role model by providing quality assurance training and coaching opportunities;
  • Put your problem-solving skills to work to resolve quality-related issues;
  • Take pride in effectively compiling and maintaining a quality focused library;
  • Effectively compile work site quality statistics monthly;
  • Use your compliance reporting expertise to follow-up and identify root causes;
  • Actively analyze corrective/preventative measures and verify results;
  • Apply your knowledge of risk management to appropriately intervene or stop work when required;
  • Utilize your experience working with trade partners and confirm their ability to deliver compliant work;
  • Continually develop and drive the implementation of all quality assurance standards;
  • Demonstrate leadership in Quality Management on site;
  • Keep the lines of communication open through regular attendance to site meetings and site visits;
  • Celebrate project success and completion and be a key member of the project wrap-up process.

What you will bring

  • 10+ years' experience in the construction industry and in quality management on construction projects (civil/infrastructure experience on large project is preferred!)
  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Building Engineering or Civil Engineering or a combination of education and industry experience;
  • A proven track record of quality related project success and team collaboration;
  • Outstanding leadership and organizational skills;
  • A dynamic and creative approach with a flair for being proactive and applying good judgement techniques in all situations;
  • Strong communications skills, both verbal and written;
  • Good computer skills are a must;
  • Knowledge of the BC market and ability to work throughout.

The expected salary range for this opportunity is $95,000 - $130,000. Please note that salaries may vary depending on the candidate's experience and geographical location. Listed compensation is exclusive of bonus and in addition to our extensive employee benefits program, which is listed above.
