The Role

As a Quality Assurance Support at Ganong, you will be an integral part of our Quality Assurance Department, ensuring the overall quality of products leaving our Ganong facility. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving product quality standards. Your responsibilities will include performing quality checks on raw materials and finished products, releasing products for shipping, tracking food safety data, and participating in audits and compliance training.

Who You Are

The ideal candidate for the Quality Assurance Support role should possess strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high quality standards. They must be proficient in conducting quality checks, training employees on GMP, allergen, and HACCP protocols, and participating in internal and external audits. Good communication and teamwork skills are also important for collaborating with colleagues and ensuring smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in Microsoft Office programs and the ability to pass a competency test
• 2-3 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment. Previous experience in food quality control would be considered an asset.
• Knowledge of Manufacturing Processes
• Strong skills in public speaking and training co-workers
• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
• Excellent problem-solving skills, technical knowledge, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work within deadlines
• Strong project and time management skills
• versatile with the ability to work individually or within team environments and with all levels of management
• Must be able to work a flexible work schedule on shift
• Strong written and verbal skills
