POSITION SUMMARY:
The Office Administrator will act as the first point of contact in the Hickson office, always representing Darling Ingredients professionally and diligently. The Office Administrator will work with the rest of the staff as required. At the front desk, you will cover phone reception, mail collection, arrange/receive couriers, and file documents. General office administration duties include purchase and maintenance of office supplies, management and maintenance of office systems, equipment and suppliers, and act as coordinator for all issues related to office building.
POSITION TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Generate Daily and weekly reports
- Complete HAACP chemical receiving
- Order Office & Welfare area supplies
- Data Entry (route material, storage)
- Send finished goods and raw material to Head Office
- Arrange UPS shipments
- Answer and direct phone messages to other departments
- Train new staff members in receiving
- Back up for Quality Assurance testing
- Assisting/reviewing of truck routes (when needed)
- Forecasting truck routes for the week (when needed)
- Provide support for Monthly Material Supply Chain calls
- Attend Monthly Health and Safety Meetings
- Material Supply Chain Purchasing ordering/receiving
- Support / back up other Material Supply Chain/Receivers during holidays/time off
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1-2 Years experience with shipping and receiving
- 1-2 years Administrative Office experience, post-secondary education in Business and/or Material Supply Chain would be considered an asset
- Strong computer skills, including proficient use of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Dedicated, self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and balance priorities
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Exceptional time management and interpersonal skills
- Problem solving and analytical skills with proven process optimization abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced work environment
- Ability to excel in a team environment
