Job Brief:
The Journeyman Electrician will provide on-site installation, servicing, diagnostics, and repairs for a customer's electrical products and equipment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Completes QA/QC redlines for as-built construction drawings.
- Reads and interprets schematics and drawings related to electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings and electrical code specifications.
- Repairs and adjusts system components (sensors, transmitters, programmable logic controllers, etc.); removes and replaces defective parts.
- Pulls wire through conduits, holes, and splice, join, and/or connect wire to form circuits.
- Tests circuits to ensure integrity and safety.
- Completes daily field work orders and maintains hours worked and equipment used.
- Completes inventory transfers and provides monthly warehouse inventory reports.
- Senior Journeyman will complete on the job training documents for Junior Technicians.
- Mentors/trains electrical apprentices.
- Participates/complies with company safety programs & company policies.
- Provides on-call support as required.
- Other duties as required.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Journeyman or interprovincial Red Seal Certificate in electrical.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license.
- Technical training or experience in the oil and gas industry is an asset.
- Experience using pressure and/or electrical test equipment to troubleshoot systems.
- Ability to read, interpret, and understand piping and instrumentation diagram (P&ID) drawings.
- Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn and use an ERP system, IFS w/ Aurena Tech Portal preferred.
- Standard First Aid/CPR with AED, H2S Alive, CSO, CSTS.
