The role:

As the Engineering Director, of Growth Zone, you will be a key member of our engineering leadership team, reporting directly to the VP of Engineering.

Your primary responsibility will be to lead and shape our growth strategy, overseeing its development, deployment, and maintenance. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, and Operations, to ensure our platform aligns with business goals, technological advancements, and market demands.

Responsibilities:
  • Define and execute the long-term vision and roadmap for the growth, considering both technical and business aspects.
  • Owning the design and implementation of platform features within our Javascript stack that engages customers and has a meaningful impact on people's lives.
  • Iterating on new and existing features to improve user experience and performance.
  • Lead the teams fostering innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to make informed decisions
  • Contribute technically to projects by being a hands-on coder, removing roadblocks, and repairing technical issues.
  • Partner with members of Product, Growth, Marketing, Customer Experience and other teams to continually refine and improve our product in an agile process.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Comfortable in a dynamic startup environment.
  • Proven experience (at least 8 years) in software development
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and mentoring technical teams.
  • Experience in architecting and managing large-scale technology systems.
  • Deep understanding of modern software development methodologies, service-oriented architecture
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, able to navigate complex technical challenges.
  • Exceptional communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present ideas to executive leadership.
  • Experience with agile development practices and project management tools.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
Preferred requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Director or similar leadership roles.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to align technical decisions with strategic goals.
