Position: Senior Commercial Underwriter
Location: Hamilton, ON (Hybrid)
Duration: Permanent, Full-Time position

Qualifications:

CIP designation, or equivalent level work experience and actively pursuing CIP.

Minimum 3 years in underwriting Commercial Automobile (medium to complex risks).

Understanding of the trucking industry. Exposure to long-haul trucking, fleet operations, and cross-border ventures into the U.S. considered an asset.

Overview:

Evaluate and underwrite new and renewal business within delegated authority for profitability.

Ensure regulatory compliance through adherence to underwriting guidelines and best practices.

Provide recommendations to increase a profitable book of business and support underwriters team with complex accounts.

Contribute insights to management, conduct stakeholder meetings, and participate in special projects
