Sales Strategy Analyst

Reporting to the Director, Sales Strategy, the Sales Strategy Analyst will provide support to the Lindt Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth Management team through data analysis of gross and net sales information, market data, consumer trends, customer POS and Nielsen to create actionable insights supporting the strategic objectives of the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate and distribute daily sales reports to track performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Prepare comprehensive monthly reports summarizing sales trends, achievements and areas for improvement
  • Create ad hoc reports as requested by the Sales Strategy and Revenue Growth Managers to provide insights into specific sales activities or market conditions
  • Analyze sales data to identify patterns, trends and opportunities for growth
  • Develop actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis to drive sales strategies and initiatives
  • Utilize advanced analytical tools and techniques to identify potential risks and opportunities to meet internal KPIs and objectives
  • Work closely with cross-functional partners and Key Account teams to align sales strategies with overall business objectives
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings and projects to ensure cohesive and integrated approaches to sales initiatives
  • Foster strong relationships with internal partners to facilitate effective communication and collaboration
  • Serve as the go-to expert for all internal reporting and forecasting systems, providing guidance and support to team members
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data within reporting systems, implementing improvements as needed
  • Stay updated on the latest tools and technologies in reporting and forecasting to continuously enhance system capabilities
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to senior management and stakeholders, effectively communicating key findings and recommendations
  • Use data visualization tools to create compelling charts, graphs, and dashboards that highlight critical insights

Requirements:

  • University or equivalent college degree in business related courses
  • 2+ years’ experience in the Packaged Goods industry (or equivalent experience in a similar role)
  • Working knowledge of AC Nielsen is an asset
  • An appreciation of the E.C.R. process and an understanding of category management
  • Intermediate understanding of Cognos PowerPlay, Nielsen Workstation Plus or Answers
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • A self-starter with an ability to work both independently and as a team member
  • Strong organizational skills – project-based work experience
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written
  • Entrepreneurial flair is an asset
