Who is a Fit4Less Financial Analyst?

The Financial Analyst is responsible for performing analysis on all Fit4Less expenses in order to ensure they are accurate and recommend cost-saving ideas. This role creates and maintains detailed and accurate budgets for primarily cost items and selected revenue for all clubs and departments across the Fit4Less group of companies. Reporting and analysis related to these budgets and financial statements are also the responsibility of those in this role.

Job Summary:

Analyzes variances for assigned financial and operational expense items, integrating Financial Statement data with operational metrics to understand the variances, then summarizes these findings and shares with the relevant business unit(s).:

  • Performs analysis for the Director of Finance to develop plans for the Director of Operations, Manager of Operations/Region Managers, and department leaders in regard to successes, opportunities, deficiencies, and reporting.
  • Provides errors and inaccuracies of the Financial Statements and assists the Director of Finance/Accounting in appropriately correcting them.

Develops and maintains financial and operational models, using existing knowledge, available data, and guidance from finance leaders, to assist in making strategic recommendations to the business leaders with respect to budgeting and operational changes related to revenue optimization, and cost control initiatives.:

  • Provides ad hoc reports for cost-saving items identified and works closely with the finance/operations team to execute them.
  • Assists in creating Proforma budgets of pilot projects and compares them to actual performance.
  • Contributes recommendations based on the analysis performed.

Creates budgets/ forecasts for assigned financial and operational items using historic data, recent trending, and guidance from business leaders to provide clear targets (budgets) and insights into how the business is tracking (forecasts).:

  • Maintains reporting systems and analysis tools to support the Fit4Less and GoodLife senior management teams in decision-making.
  • Maintains forecasts every month by comparing actual revenue/expenses vs forecast to ensure reasonability.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor's Degree with a strong concentration in Business, Administration, Finance, or Accounting.
  • Minimum 1-year relevant, progressive work experience in financial analysis or data analysis role.
  • In the process of enrolling in CPA
  • Basic experience with accounting/finance programs (e.g., Prophix, Tableau, Microsoft Great Plains) and programming language (SQL).
  • Intermediate experience with Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated Intermediate level of proficiency in analysis of large and disparate data sets
  • Intermediate verbal and written communication skills; exceptional analytical skills and business acumen
  • Knows how business works.
  • Uses rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions.
  • Employs active listening to collect and gather specific and pertinent details.
  • Values time and uses their time effectively and efficiently.
