SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Who is a Service Technician?

The Service Technician role is responsible for all aspects of repair and maintenance of our Clubs. Specializing in either Fitness Equipment or Facility repair, this role works to ensure the highest function of all aspects of both member-facing and associate areas. This role is also responsible for reporting on work progress and completion and communicating with stakeholders across the Club Operations teams.

What will you be doing?

  • Perform service and repairs across multiple locations.
  • Utilize maintenance software to obtain service requests
  • Prioritize work according to department mandates, plan schedule for club visits to maximize efficiency.
  • Create service requests to supplement input from Club staff to ensure all issues are tracked and repaired.
  • Supports specialist teams (AV / Installation) as required to help execute on larger projects.
  • Report on work progress and completion.
  • Apply service notes and costs, plus status updates to individual work orders for visibility across departments.
  • Order parts and materials via our Purchasing team as well as through local and national vendors.
  • Recognize where extra support is needed to manage total workload and communicate with manager to supplement with extra resources where required.
  • Communicate with stakeholders within our department, and across the Company, to maintain a clear understanding of progress.
  • Initiates updates with Club General Managers and support staff so they have a clear picture of outstanding issues.
  • Works directly with Service Coordinators and Purchasers to document any needs or support required.
  • Updates RFM on scheduling / external service support needs / larger issues.
  • Practices safe working habits at all times.
  • Follows all health & safety best practices when carrying out service and maintenance.
  • Obeys all traffic laws and practice safe and professional driving habits in company vehicles.

  • Trade certificates / fitness equipment service programs and asset
  • Valid driver's license
