As a Wastewater Treatment Plant Worker at IMP Aerostructures, you will play a vital role in ensuring the effective treatment and distribution of water. This permanent position offers a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, where you will engage in a variety of tasks that contribute to the health and safety of our environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate filtration and clarification systems
- Manage pumping systems
- Read blueprints to determine work requirements
- Conduct physico-chemical measurements on water and sludge
- Wear and utilize Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) equipment
- Collect and test water samples for chemical and bacterial content
- Maintain plant logs and reports
- Assist with the installation, assembly, and repair of equipment
- Monitor and inspect plant equipment to ensure normal operation
- Operate computerized control systems for water treatment
- Patrol the plant to check pumps, motors, and filters
- Transport and mix chemicals, and operate unloading equipment

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 1 to 2 years in a related field or equivalent experience

- Backflow Prevention Certification
- Water Wastewater Operator Certification
- Confined Space Entry Training
- Forklift Operator Certification
- Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness (H2S) Certificate
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate
- Water Treatment Certificate (Levels I, II, III, or IV)
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
