Key Responsibilities

As a Framer-Carpenter, you will play a crucial role in our projects by:

• Preparing layouts in accordance with building codes using precise measuring tools.
• Measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials such as wood, wood substitutes, and lightweight steel.
• Building foundations, installing floor beams, laying subflooring, and erecting walls and roof systems.
• Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
• Scheduling and coordinating work on-site to ensure timely project completion.
• Surveying building locations and levels to maintain accuracy.
• Instructing apprentices and supervising other workers to foster a collaborative environment.
• Maintaining, repairing, and renovating residences and wooden structures in various establishments.
• Meeting with clients to discuss system requirements, specifications, costs, and timelines.

Requirements

Education

• No degree, certificate, or diploma required.

Experience

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in carpentry.
