About the Job

This is a permanent position offering 32 to 35 hours of work per week. As a Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods. Your responsibilities will include planning routes, addressing customer concerns, and performing vehicle inspections. Key Responsibilities

• Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions using GPS and other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
• Address customers' complaints or concerns with professionalism and efficiency.
• Coach colleagues on new methods or work techniques to enhance team performance.
• Arrange travel itineraries and make necessary reservations.
• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
• Load and unload goods safely and efficiently.
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
• Oversee the condition of the vehicle and perform inspections on tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment.
• Handle payments for goods and perform brake adjustments as needed.
• Conduct emergency roadside repairs and perform preventive maintenance.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption accurately.
• Tarp and ensure the safety and security of cargo during transport.

• Local, Provincial/Territorial, Regional, and Short-haul driving experience.
