- Digging ditches and trenches
- Operating jackhammers and drills to break up pavement

- Assisting equipment operators with securing attachments
- Performing routine maintenance and repair of equipment
- Loading and unloading trucks with supplies and equipment
- Shoveling cement and other materials into mixers and spreading concrete and asphalt
