About the Role

Are you passionate about making a difference in the mental well-being of our community? The PEI Alliance for Mental Well-Being is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Office Administrative Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will support our HR department and ensure that our operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Your Responsibilities

  • Coordinate HR activities to align with organizational goals.
  • Plan and manage budget and expenditures.
  • Review HR projects for compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Establish and implement effective policies and procedures.
  • Determine and establish office procedures and routines.
  • Manage contracts and oversee payroll administration.
  • Analyze employee data and prepare insightful reports.
  • Advise senior management on HR matters.
  • Order office supplies and maintain inventory.
  • Liaise with management, union officials, and HR consultants.
  • Set up and maintain both manual and computerized filing systems.
  • Type and proofread correspondence, forms, and other documents.
  • Perform data entry and basic bookkeeping tasks.

What We’re Looking For

Education

  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years, or equivalent experience.

Experience

  • 1 year to less than 2 years in a similar role.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Familiarity with SharePoint, accounting software, and human resources software.
  • Experience with QuickBooks and Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Knowledge Areas

  • Financial statements, invoices, facility management, accounting, and payroll services.
