As a Building Maintenance Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our facility remains safe, functional, and welcoming for both residents and staff. This permanent position offers flexible hours ranging from 16 to 80 hours bi-weekly, allowing you to balance work and personal commitments.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse.
- Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, while coordinating with tradespersons for major repairs.
- Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment.
- Perform minor repairs on appliances and conduct safety and security checks.
- Supervise other workers and assist in moving heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies.
- Carry out routine maintenance tasks such as painting and drywall repair.
- Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens.
- Work with minimal supervision and clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas.
