Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical equipment and install machinery.
  • Coach and instruct apprentices to foster their development.
  • Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions in machinery.
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements.
  • Repair or replace defective machinery parts as needed.
  • Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up.
  • Perform routine maintenance work on machinery.
  • Operate hoisting and lifting equipment safely.
  • Commission systems and components effectively.

Requirements

  • Work Term: Permanent
  • Work Language: English
  • Hours: 50 to 60 hours per week
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years in industrial mechanics and maintenance technology, welding technology/welder, or equivalent experience.
