• Administering eye drops, ointments, and medications as directed by ophthalmologists
• Operating ophthalmic testing and measuring instruments
• Recording test results and medications given by ophthalmologists
• Cleaning and maintaining equipment
• Maintaining supplies
• Taking patients' general medical and ophthalmic history
