This is a permanent position that offers a chance to work on exciting projects in a variety of settings, including commercial construction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
  • Schedule and coordinate work on sites.
  • Instruct apprentices and supervise other workers.
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various establishments.

Work Environment

  • Work at heights and in noisy outdoor environments.
  • Engage in physically demanding tasks, including bending, crouching, and handling heavy loads.
  • Work with minimal supervision while being part of a team.

Requirements

  • Experience: 3 to 5 years in carpentry.
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 to 48 hours per week.
