Key Responsibilities
- Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
- Schedule and coordinate work on sites.
- Instruct apprentices and supervise other workers.
- Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various establishments.
Work Environment
- Work at heights and in noisy outdoor environments.
- Engage in physically demanding tasks, including bending, crouching, and handling heavy loads.
- Work with minimal supervision while being part of a team.
Requirements
- Experience: 3 to 5 years in carpentry.
