Are you a skilled mechanic with a passion for heavy equipment? We are looking for a dedicated Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our dynamic team at Manpower Services Canada Limit. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, inspecting, and repairing a variety of heavy machinery and equipment. Your expertise will ensure that our operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions.
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repairs required.
  • Order parts and maintain inventory.
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts.
  • Keep maintenance reports and documentation.
  • Perform welding tasks as needed.
  • Service attachments and working tools.
  • Verify and repair emission control systems.
  • Assist process and machine operators in mineral ore and metal processing.
  • Perform other routine maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Experience: 2 to 3 years in a similar role.
  • Certificates:
    • Agricultural Equipment Technician Red Seal Certificate.
    • Automotive Service Licence (310S).
    • Truck and Coach Service Licence (310T).
  • Specialization in diesel engine repair, powered equipment repair, and mechanical maintenance and repair.

Work Environment

  • Work outdoors in a noisy environment.
  • Physically demanding tasks requiring attention to detail.
  • Must be able to handle heavy loads (up to 23 kg / 50 lbs).
  • Overtime may be required.
