What You’ll Do

• Manage landscaping projects with precision and care.
• Water and tend to a variety of plants, lawns, and gardens.
• Apply fertilizers, fungicides, herbicides, pesticides, and other lawn care products.
• Perform treatments such as pruning, spraying, repairing damaged areas, and injecting with treatment solutions.
• Assess the health of lawns and provide appropriate care.
• Direct crews responsible for maintaining the health and appearance of golf courses and their surrounding landscapes.
• Examine trees and shrubs to diagnose problems and diseases.
• Plant and maintain both private and public lawns and gardens.
• Plant and relocate trees as necessary.

Work Environment

• Dangerous conditions and potential exposure to odours.
• Work at heights and in noisy environments.
• Outdoor settings, including construction sites, golf courses, and nurseries.

Your Experience

• 2 to 3 years of landscaping experience in various settings such as residential projects, commercial construction, park sites, restoration projects, and sports fields.
• Specialization in landscape construction including automated irrigation systems, interlocking brick, ornamental ponds, and stone garden walls.
