About the Job

This is a permanent position that offers between 30 to 40 hours of work per week. As a Flower Grower, you will play a pivotal role in our floriculture production, overseeing operations both indoors in our greenhouses and outdoors.

Your Responsibilities

• Plan for germination by considering water saturation, light, and temperature.
• Direct clipping activities for agricultural crops.
• Manage greenhouse and nursery operations to ensure efficiency.
• Maintain cleanliness in the greenhouse.
• Harvest seedlings and mix fertilizers as needed.
• Organize and oversee all aspects of greenhouse and nursery operations.
• Supervise staff during planting, transplanting, feeding, and spraying.
• Control insect, disease, and weed issues reported in the crops.
• Establish and maintain optimal growth environments.
• Train and supervise staff in various horticultural activities.
• Engage in weeding, deleafing, and manually removing suckers and water sprouts.
• Conduct seed cutting and oversee shoots positioning.

Your Skills and Qualifications

• Education: Completion of a college, CEGEP, or non-university certificate or diploma program of 1 to 2 years.
• Experience: 1 to 2 years in a related field.
• Supervisory Experience: Ability to manage a team of more than 20 individuals.
• Personal Suitability: Strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and oral communication, flexibility, initiative, and organizational skills.
