Are you passionate about agriculture and skilled in mechanics? Novlan Bros Sales Partnership is seeking a dedicated and experienced Agricultural Equipment Mechanic to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position where you will work 40 to 50 hours per week in a variety of challenging environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Instruct and mentor apprentices in agricultural equipment maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to identify faults and malfunctions.
- Utilize computerized and other testing equipment to diagnose issues.
- Order parts and maintain an organized inventory.
- Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective components.
- Document maintenance reports and ensure compliance with manufacturers' specifications.
- Conduct tests on repaired equipment for optimal performance.
- Perform routine maintenance and repair work on heavy trucks and farm equipment.
- Verify and repair emission control systems.
- Assist in mineral ore and metal processing operations.
Requirements
- Education: Registered Apprenticeship Certificate
- Experience: 3 to 5 years in a similar role
- Certificates: Agricultural Equipment Technician Red Seal Certificate, Class 1 or A Driver's License, Class 3 or D Driver's License, Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, WHMIS Certificate, First Aid Certificate
- Apprenticeship Training: Level three to five apprenticeship training
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to handle heavy loads (more than 45 kg/100 lbs) and perform physically demanding tasks.
