In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining financial records, preparing payroll, and ensuring the accuracy of our accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
• Calculate fixed assets and depreciation
• Keep financial records and establish, maintain, and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
• Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
• Post journal entries
• Prepare other statistical, financial, and accounting reports
• Prepare tax returns
• Prepare trial balance of books
• Reconcile accounts

Requirements

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in accounting
• Language: English
• Work Setting: Urban area
• Transportation: Valid driver's licence
• Security: Basic security clearance, bondable, and criminal record check

Technical Skills

• Proficient in accounting software
• Experience with Caseware/Caseview
• Strong skills in MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Windows, and MS Office
• Familiarity with Xero and Sage Accounting Software
