Key Responsibilities

• Plan and adjust routes using GPS and other navigation devices to optimize fuel consumption and reduce carbon emissions.
• Coach colleagues on new methods and work techniques.
• Provide professionalism in customer service.
• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
• Load and unload goods safely and efficiently.
• Obtain necessary permits for international cargo transport.
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
• Inspect vehicle conditions, including tires, lights, and brakes.
• Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
• Ensure the safety and security of cargo, including tarping.

Requirements

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
• Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in a similar role.
