Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for construction? Outback Oasis Contracting Inc is seeking a dedicated Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position that offers the opportunity to work between 35 to 50 hours per week in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates of labour and material costs.
• Compile pre-qualification submissions for clients.
• Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements.
• Prepare elemental format estimates (Classes B, C, D).
• Estimate general expenses and overheads.
• Project cash flow and financing requirements.
• Create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms.
• Utilize quantity take-off procedures.
• Advise on tendering procedures.
• Analyze tenders and recommend awards.
• Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems.
• Monitor and adjust contract expenditures.
• Maintain a directory of supplies and trade contractors.
• Liaise with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors regarding cost estimates.

Requirements

• Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years.
• Experience: 2 to less than 3 years in architecture, commercial/industrial construction, or residential construction.
• Work Setting: Estimating.
• Project Size Estimating Experience: $0 - $100,000 and $100,001 - $500,000.
• Area of Work Experience: Purchasing, procurement, contracts, and project coordination.
