About the Job
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Fish Plant Workers. This seasonal position offers a dynamic work environment where you will play a crucial role in processing high-quality seafood products. Key Responsibilities
- Cut, clean, and trim fish or seafood prior to marketing or further processing.
- Transport fish and shellfish to the designated work area.
- Inspect products and packaging for defects, ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Disjoint and remove meat from lobsters or other crustaceans for canning or further processing.
- Record production information accurately.
- Set up and operate machines for canning, bagging, boxing, or packaging seafood products.
- Operate machines to clean, cut, cook, smoke, brine, dehydrate, or process fish or seafood.
- Weigh fish or shellfish, record weight, and pack fish in ice.
- Maintain cleanliness of machines and immediate work areas.
Work Environment
- Cold/refrigerated and wet/damp conditions.
- Repetitive tasks and physically demanding work.
- Attention to detail and hand-eye coordination are essential.
- Standing for extended periods and overtime may be required.
- Weight handling of up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
