Position Overview

As a Carpenter, you will play a crucial role in our projects, bringing your expertise to life through your craftsmanship. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks that contribute to the successful completion of our projects, ensuring that every detail meets our high standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates of labour and material costs.
• Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements.
• Prepare layouts in conformance with building codes, using measuring tools.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
• Prepare tenders and quotations.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
• Schedule and coordinate work on sites.
• Instruct apprentices and supervise other workers.
• Estimate costs and materials.
• Operate CADD and other computer software systems.

Supervision

You will be responsible for supervising 1 to 2 team members, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
