About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Plant Propagator to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who love working outdoors and have a passion for horticulture. As a Plant Propagator, you will play a crucial role in the growth and maintenance of our crops, ensuring that we deliver the best produce to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain crops to ensure optimal growth.
- Cut and harvest horticultural crops, including bell peppers, tomatoes, and herbs.
- Divide harvested produce into marketable and non-marketable lots.
- Perform greenhouse cleaning and maintenance tasks.
- Hand-harvest vegetables and seedlings with care.
- Level earth to fine grade specifications and mix fertilizers.
- Operate climate controls to create the ideal growing environment.
- Remove suckers and water sprouts manually.
- Plant bulbs and seeds, pot and re-pot plants as needed.
- Monitor and report signs of insect or disease damage.
- Water and tend to plants, lawns, and gardens.
