Key Responsibilities

As a Plasterer at Heritage Grade, you will:

• Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints.
• Level and smooth coats of plaster to perfection.
• Clean and prepare surfaces for optimal adhesion.
• Cure freshly plastered surfaces to ensure durability.
• Finish corners and angles, creating decorative designs as needed.
• Mix plaster ingredients to achieve the desired consistency.
• Mould and install ornamental plaster panels, cornices, and trim.
• Smooth out excess compound and allow coats to dry.
• Attach metal or gypsum lath to studs or furring.
• Install vapour barriers and thermal and sound insulation.
• Work at heights, utilizing scaffolding or swing stages.
• Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• Experience: 3 to 5 years in plastering or equivalent experience.
• Certificates: Plasterer Trade Certification, WHMIS Certificate, and Fall Arrest Protection Training Course.
